About us and the role

We are excited to invite applications from enthusiastic, dedicated Class Teachers who are passionate about delivering high-quality education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children. This is an excellent opportunity to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school where pupils are known as individuals, achievement is celebrated in all its forms, and learning is rooted in strong values, respect and ambition.

As a Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping positive learning experiences, inspiring curiosity, and supporting pupils to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. You will work within a collaborative and supportive team that values professional dialogue, innovation and reflective practice, and that is committed to continual improvement. The role offers the chance to contribute to a school environment that prioritises educational excellence, character development and the wellbeing of both pupils and staff.

This post is ideally suited to a teacher who is committed to high standards, inclusive practice and safeguarding, and who is excited by the opportunity to grow professionally while helping to build a thriving school.

School visits are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time.

Avanti Brook is a brand-new, state-of-the-art primary school in Bishop’s Stortford. Surrounded by fields and new housing estates, the school is a centre for the new community developing in the north of Bishop’s Stortford. It’s the first carbon neutral school in Hertfordshire.“I feel like words don’t do this school justice, because as soon as you walk into the school, as soon as you open the door, the only word that comes to mind is ‘wow’!” Sarah Samuels, Early Years Lead.

Avanti Brook is a non-faith, community school that embraces inclusion and diversity. “I joined Avanti, because it’s such a new school, that it will be shaped and grow with its children, pupils and staff, and that opportunity really excites me” - Class Teacher

Our staff are inspired and passionate about their roles, the vision of the school, and providing the most fulfilling learning experience for pupils. Learning is a quest to discover each student’s unique gifts and potential, and to lay the foundation for their lifelong journey of learning.
